Original Screenprint By Artist Michael Stokoe 'Thrusting Outwards' 1969/70
A beautifully vibrant original screenprint by Michael Stokoe, titled 'Thrusting Outwards' c 1969/70. The frame is original and has obvious signs of wear and tear but the glass has been replaced. There is a little damage to the print itself, where the colour has lifted in a couple of spots but hardly noticeable from a short distance and it doesn't detract from what is a stunning print.
A contemporary English painter and printmaker, Michael Stokoe studied at King'sSchool, Bruton and at St. Martins School of Art. His prints and paintings are included in the permanent collections of the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and the Arts Council of Great Britain. The Government Art Collection, United Kingdom, owns a comprehensive collection of Stokoe's serigraphs from the 1960's and 1970's.
